The Kolene Kastech Electrolytic (K-4E) process removes graphite and sand from iron castings, which results in improved performance of hydraulic and pneumatic components and also prepares the iron surfaces for brazing and babbitting operations.
The Kolene AL750 process removes investment material from high value aluminum castings that are unable to be cleaned by more aggressive blast or mechanical methods.
Kolene also offers advanced commercial paint stripping services at its Detroit facilities. We specialize in reclaiming high-value, difficult-to-strip components utilizing the patented Kolene Recover chemical process. This low-temperature process will remove most organic compounds from a variety of substrates including aluminum, galvanized steel, magnesium, and brass, among others. The Recover chemistry will not change the underlying substrate, allowing for a cost-effective manner to recapture the value in defect coated components.
