# Flame Spray & Plasma Coating Removal

Stripping of Chrome & Tungsten Carbides

Kolene® molten salts can remove unwanted carbide coatings. A simple immersion process, followed by water rinsing, results in a surface ready for recoating. The process also strips overspray from clamps and jigs during maintenance.

Our processes remove plasma coatings – including chrome carbide, tungsten carbide, and select ceramics. The stripping process also conditions surface scale.

Results depend on the coating, the base metal, and the process. Contact us to discuss sample processing of your parts.
