Kolene® Recover® is a mid-temperature (250–325 °F) organic fluid that removes cured paint, powder, and e-coat finishes. Its advantages include multi-metal compatibility, allowing for a wide variety of components to be stripped with a single process. Compatibility and finish depend on the metal, the coating, and the process. On compatible metals under controlled process conditions, polished surfaces are virtually unaffected, which is especially important when removing clear-coat finishes from polished components.

We provide commercial processing (jobbing) of your reject components at our Detroit plant. Our Recover coating removal service specializes in reclaiming high-value, difficult-to-strip components for automotive, appliance, building products, hardware, and other industries. See [Commercial Processing](https://www.kolene.com/service/commercial-processing/).

Examples of components reclaimed with Recover include:

- aluminum wheels
- zinc die castings
- galvanized steel auto trim
- aluminum auto trim
- parts for metal restoration
