Salt Bath and Sludge Analysis

## Where can I get a molten salt bath or sludge sample tested?

Our scientists and technicians test bath and sludge samples from Kolene® salt baths used for cleaning and descaling, heat treating, and ferritic nitrocarburizing. Tests include carbonate, cyanide and cyanate, nitrate and nitrite, chloride and fluoride, metal content, and insolubles, plus optical microscopy, hardness testing, borescope inspection of castings, profilometry, and particle size distribution. Some results may be unavailable where proprietary formulations or trade secrets limit reporting. Fill in the sample submission form and send it with your sample, or ask us which tests you need.
