Molten salt cleans hooks, racks, and fixtures, and the Kolene^® Recover process salvages rejected coated parts.

Molten salt removes organic paints and powder coatings from hooks, racks, and fixtures. Treatment time depends on the coating and the amount to be removed.

The Kolene Recover process strips cured paint, powder, and e-coat from rejected parts at 250–325 °F. Under controlled conditions, polished surfaces on compatible metals are virtually unaffected.

Immersion in molten salt, followed by a water rinse, strips chrome carbide, tungsten carbide, and select ceramic coatings and leaves parts ready for recoating.

Forgings, molds, glass-fiber tooling, and hooks are cleaned of solidified glass and porcelain enamel with Kastech^® Ultra and Kolene DGS^® molten salts.

Kolene^® molten salt removes polyester and nylon deposits from spinnerets, pack bodies, extruder screws, and dies. Treatment time depends on the polymer and load.

Precious metal coating reclamation with Kolene Alko-N^™ molten salt, which selectively dissolves ruthenium, iridium and other coatings for recovery without damaging the reusable substrate.

The Kolene Kastech AL750 molten salt process leaches silica-based shell and core residue from aluminum investment castings, including internal passages.

After water-blast or shot-blast knockout, Kolene Kastech molten salts remove residual shell and silica-based core from ferrous and select non-ferrous castings.

The Kastech Electrolytic salt bath removes burned-in sand, scale, and graphite from iron castings and prepares surfaces for brazing or babbitting.

Before inspection and remanufacturing, molten salt strips oil, carbon, grease, and paint, including CARC, from heads, blocks, and turbochargers without masking cracks.

For OEM and MRO shops, molten salt removes forming lubricants, service scale, plasma coatings, and hot-section deposits from engine components.

Kolene Oxigen-X^® salt reacts with alloy-rich AHSS scale; in published tests on a silicon-manganese grade, it shortened the hydrochloric acid pickling needed for a clean surface.

For stainless steels, superalloys, titanium, and refractory metals, molten salt converts alloy oxides into readily soluble compounds ahead of acid pickling.

Molten salt strips moly disulfide, graphite, and organic lubricants from titanium and alloy aerospace fasteners and conditions oxide from warm and hot forming.
